16 Mar 2008 - Hedge Laying

This event was changed to hedge laying, in order to finish the part of the hedge LACV layed on the ealier tasks.

Seven volunteers attended this event and learned more about how to weave hazle bindings along the top of the layed hedge to make a stronger structure.

Wooden stakes were also made using billhooks to make sharp points on one end to make them more easy to hammer into the ground.

The wooden stakes were hammered in the ground along the hedge, in order to weave the hazle bindings (which were supplied by Bexley Council) around them.
